Each year the U.S. Department of Education publishes a Pell table used to determine Pell Grant
awards. The amount you receive will depend on:
Enrollment Status Credit Hours (Undergrad) | Pell Payment Percentage | Example $7,395 Scheduled Award |
Full-Time (12+ hours) | 100% | $7,395 ÷ 2 = $3,697.50/term |
Three-Quarter Time (9 - 11 hours) | 75% | $2,773.13/term |
Half-Time (6 - 8 hours) | 50% | $1,848.75/term |
Less-Than-Half-Time (1 - 5 hours) | 25% (or actual tuition and fees if less) | $924.38/term (max) |
If you were enrolled full-time in the Fall and Spring terms, may be eligible to receive pell in the Summer if enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (half-time). If you were not enrolled full-time in the Fall or Spring, you may be eligible to receive pell in the summer, even if enrolled less than 6 credit hours.
